Let Me Introduce Myself...

I have been a practicing massage therapist since 1985. When I graduated from the 'Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy and Allied Health Science' in New York City I became licensed by the New York State board to practice medical massage therapy.

I attended the State University of New York and received my Bachelor of Science degree majoring in 'holistic health, counseling, and complementary bodywork therapies' in 1986 and incorporated my health and wellness counseling to my ongoing practice of medical massage therapy in a health and fitness club, chiropractic office and in private practice.

I studied and completed Reiki levels 1 and 2 at a monastery in upstate New York, and completed level 3 Reiki master after moving to Massachusetts in 1993.

I have since been practicing Reiki and Medical massage full time on Cape Cod since then.

By combining massage therapy with a chiropractic treatment it has helped patients to receive a speedier recovery with more positive end results. Allowing a chiropractic treatment to last longer and hold better. My work experience has often been in collaboration with a team of health professionals including physical therapists, orthopedists, chiropractors, and surgeons. I have specialized in repetitive use injuries,  sciatica, TMJ, headaches and in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal and stress-related physical conditions, including overuse and traumas in sports, work, and auto accidents. Stress traumas to the body's tissues always leads to more serious conditions in the muscles and body down the road. However, patients have reported amazing results even years later in terms of better mobility, less pain, improved mood, more energy and a better quality of life as a result.

As of 2010 I have been specializing in our senior population and their different needs as they age. I have also received additional training and experience in oncology and palliative massage for hospice patients.

I have been nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, as well as, hold a New York and a Massachusetts State Board license as a Massage Therapist and am a current member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
